St Albans City and District Council is responsible for three Cemeteries, and for the grounds maintenance of four closed Churchyards in St Albans and Harpenden
Cemeteries
The Cemeteries are open daily throughout the year
| March to October | 8:00am to 7:00pm |
| November to February | 8:00am to 4:00pm |
The Cemetery Office is open Monday to Friday 9am - 4pm
A closed churchyard is one which has been closed for burials by an Order in Council under the provisions of the Burial Acts and means that Council will assume responsibility for items such as grass and hedgecutting.
