In the event of a local or national emergency, we can initiate an Emergency Plan which provides assistance and support to the Emergency Services.
Such a request is likely to be in consequence to a major disaster or Incident that requires the special mobilisation or coordination of district resources.
In the aftermath of a major incident we have a pool of staff available from all Departments to respond to an emergency.
We will work closely with a range of voluntary and statutory agencies to ensure people receive the appropriate care and support.
