Regeneration and Tourism

The Tourism and Regeneration Unit is a district wide service for tourism promotion and development, economic development, regeneration, and town centre management. It also includes the Tourism and Information Centre (TIC) which provides information to visitors and residents regarding the District’s tourism offer as well as information regarding tourism destinations throughout the country.

Economic Sustainability Partnership

Through the St Albans & District Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) www.stalbanslsp.org.uk - the Economic Sustainability Partnership (LSP) has been established with the key aim:

To create a diverse and sustainable economy for the 21st Century

Partners are:

St Albans District Chamber of Commerce,  St Albans Centre for Voluntary Services - CVS, Oaklands College, St Albans District Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB), St Albans District Credit Union,   Wheathampstead Parish Council, Harpenden Town Council, The University of Hertfordshire, Business Link, St Albans Enterprise Agency (STANTA), Jobcentre Plus, St Albans City & District Council.

The Economic Sustainability Partnership  has been key in establishing the following initiatives     

Executive Forum -assist unemployed senior personnel with job search activities  - see below

Kickstart - Forum to help young graduates with job search activities   - see  below
