Can I park in the cemeteries?

Parking is permitted in all the cemeteries when visiting graves, the cemetery office or attending a funeral but not for other purposes.

Can non-residents be buried in the cemeteries?

Yes but extra charges apply.  Please refer to the Cemeteries Fees and Charges for further details.

How do I arrange a burial?

Any person wishing to arrange an interment should contact the Cemeteries Manager for advice.

A Notice of Interment Form must be completed and sent to the Cemetery Office. The form can be  obtained from the Cemetery Office or downloads from this site.  The original Notice of Interment must be received by Cemetery staff prior to the burial.

Due to other burials and practical considerations It may not always be possible to have the day and time you wish.

What are the opening hours of the Cemetery Office in Hatfield Road Cemetery?

Monday to Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. but closed during burials etc. Please make an appointment on 01727 819362 if you are planning to visit the cemetery office.

March to October 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.; November to February 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
