Health and Wellbeing Partnership An introduction to the Health and Wellbeing Partnership Public Health Working Group

What is the Public Health Working Group?

For 2017/18 the Health and Wellbeing Partnership has one Public Health Working Group. It reports directly to the Partnership regarding funding decisions and the progress of health and wellbeing projects.

The Task & Finish Group focuses on the following public health priorities :
  • Improving physical health and wellbeing
  • Improving mental health and wellbeing

When do they meet?

The Public Health Working Group meets every quarter to provide oversight and management of the funding, development and delivery of projects and campaigns. 

St Albans District Public Health Working Group meeting dates

The dates are as follows:
  • Wed 28 March 2018 from 5-6:30pm
  • Wed 27 June 2018 from 5-6:30pm
  • Wed 12 September 2018 from 5-6:30pm
  • Wed 12 December 2018 from 5-6:30pm
All meetings will be held at the Council offices

Who attends the meetings?

The Health and Wellbeing Public Health Working Group is made up of relevant stakeholders including Councillors, Herts Valleys CCGs, the CVS, patient representatives and local charities and organisations. 

Herts Valleys CCG is the Clinical Commissioning Group for West Hertfordshire – the boroughs of Hertsmere, Dacorum, St Albans, Three Rivers and Watford. Their role is to plan and commission high quality health services on behalf of the people who live in this area. Having them on the Public Health Working Group is valuable for the development of projects. 

Conflicts of interest are always declared, and no funding decision is made when the stakeholder concerned is present.
