Our philosophy
The Communication department aims to provide a helpful service to journalists and to respond to all media enquiries within agreed deadlines.
We deal with enquiries about all areas of the council's work, including mayoral events. We communicate with all areas of the media: local, regional, national and international, trade and general interest, print, broadcast and web. We arrange interviews and photo opportunities.
We are also responsible for consultation, branding and for advising on the marketing aspects of key projects across the council.
