On 8th July 2010 the Secretary of State decided to refuse a planning appeal by Helioslough Ltd for permission to develop a Rail Freight Interchange at Park Street, St Albans. A Public Inquiry was held into the proposals in November / December 2009.
Helioslough Ltd have lodged a legal challenge against the Secretary of State’s decision and this will be heard in the High Court on Tuesday 28 June. It is expected to last for 3 days.
The Secretary of State and St Albans City and District Council are opposing the legal challenge.
