New splash park
Opening hours for the Splash Park in Verulamium Park, St Albans have been extended following the lifting of water restrictions by Veolia Water. The Splash Park is now open everyday from 10am to 6pm.

Limited opening hours have been in operation at the Splash Park since May when the facility was opened for the summer.

Cllr Mike Wakely, Portfolio Holder for Sports Leisure and Heritage for St Albans City and District Council, said: “The opening hours for the Splash Park are now back to normal just in time for the school holidays.

“As a responsible council, we responded to the water restrictions by reducing the number of hours that the Splash Park was open to the public to help conserve water.

“The Splash Park is extremely popular, so once the water restrictions were lifted we extended the opening hours. All we need now is less rain so that everyone can fully enjoy the facility.”

The Splash Park provides a fun, safe environment for children, aged 12 years and under, with water fountains and spray jets.
