The Mayor of St Albans City and District helped bring music to the District on Saturday 1 September when she opened the Herts Music Centre.
Based at the Sphere Industrial Estate, Campfield Road, St Albans, the Herts Music Centre offers music lessons and sells a range of musical instruments.
The centre has nine custom-built classrooms where music lessons will be offered to people of all ages and abilities. It also has retail space for instrument sales. The organisation already has a successful music shop and teaching centre in Enfield and is now expanding into St Albans.
The Mayor, Councillor Eileen Harris said: “Music has always been highly valued by people locally. It is good to see all that the Herts Music Centre offers to help people of all ages to make music.”
James Cockell, Centre Director, said: “We know that there is a high demand for music lessons in St Albans. We want to meet that demand by offering a variety of music lessons to people of all ages. We hope to become the hub for music lessons and instrument sales in St Albans and surrounding areas.”
