St Albans Council have changed the way in which we deliver our customer service to members of the public.
The philosophy of the new customer services section is to avoid passing customers around the different departments that need to contribute to the resolution of enquiries. The customer services team do the running around on your behalf, they chase up any enquiries within the statutory timescales and will get back to you with the response.

Improving the way we work for you

Our staff are multi-skilled and will act on your behalf to access any service you require. If they cannot help they will put you in touch with someone who can.

The services we currently provide

  • Housing and Council tax benefits
  • Council tax
  • Housing maintenance / Repairs
  • Refuse collection
  • Recycling
  • Street Cleansing

The future plans for the service are to include all customer interactions with our customers aimed at resolving 80% of transactions at first point of contact.
