Emergency contacts (council)

Printer-friendly page

Contact details for use in emergencies such as major incidents, floods, power cuts and utility faults and failures. If we are required to respond and provide services during an emergency, the usual procedure is for the Police to contact Hertfordshire County Council - they assess the need for district council involvement and contact us if required.

Where to call first

In most major emergencies you should contact the Police or the Fire Service by dialling 999. They will then make contact with all the required organisations.
If the emergency is not major (no immediate risk to the safety of persons or property) you may find the telephone numbers noted below useful.
