You can make card payments using our on-line payments page.

Automated Telephone Payment

Debit/credit card payments can be made 24 hours a day seven days a week.  
Simply telephone 01727 862956 and select option '4' for invoices. 
Please enter your invoice number as shown including all the preceding zeros. 
Your card details will be taken and payment authorised on-line.

Direct debit

If you receive invoices on a regular basis you may wish to pay by Direct Debit. Payments are collected on the first working day of each month.
Please contact the Income Section on 01727 819220 to discuss this method of payment. A Direct Debit mandate will then be posted to you, alternatively you may download the PDF document below.
Please ensure your customer reference number is included on the mandate. Once the instruction has been completed please return it to St Albans City and District Council at:

Standing orders payment information
If you choose to pay by this method, please contact your Bank or Building Society to obtain a Standing Order instruction form.

Cash payments may be made at any bank using the payment counterfoil. 
A charge may be made if you use this facility.
Check with your local bank.  
Please allow at least 7 days when using this method.

Please note cash payments cannot be made at the Post Office.
