Sundry Debt invoices are raised for a variety of reasons and to enable payment of goods or serivces provided, or to recover monies owed to this council.

Below is a list of some of the services/areas that we currently invoice:

  • Housing Benefit overpayments

  • Community alarm equipment

  • Building control fees

  • Abandoned vehicles

  • Hall hire

  • Allotment rents

  • Leasehold Charges

  • Parking space and garage rents

The Income Section is responsible for collecting sundry debts as well as:

  • dealing with customer enquiries

  • monitoring and creating payment arrangements

  • setting up Direct Debit instructions

  • ensuring customer records are maintained efficiently and securely

  • issuing of recovery letters

  • referring cases to the County Court for legal recovery
