Printer-friendly page

Grass CuttingWe understand that some tenants may have difficulty with mobility, and we want to do what we can to help.  The Council has a Assisted Garden Maintenance Scheme which is available to people from two priority groups; tenants aged 65 year or over* and tenants with disabilities*.  Details about how to apply are at the bottom of this page.

The work is carried out by the Council's grounds maintenance contractor, John O'Conner Ltd and is overseen by the Parks and Green Spaces Team.

During the cutting season, between March and October, your grass will be cut 16 times and hedges 4.

If you are already a member of the scheme, we will post a letter through your door when we carry out the first visit in March.  The letter give details about when you can expect work to be carried out this year.

If you would like to apply to be added to the scheme, or if you are already on the scheme and have a question about your account please contact the Housing Team on 01727 819485.
