The adiZone in Verulamium Park was officially opened by GB Gymnast Daniel Keatings in an official opening event which took place on 1st December 2010.
This giant outdoor gym, branded by adidas and installed by The Great Outdoor Gym Company, is bringing a little piece of the London 2012 Games to St Albans. It is designed to inspire local people to take part in more physical activity by encouraging them to play a variety of sports from football to basketball on the multi-games area and try the easy-to-use resistance gym equipment. This area is open all year round come rain or shine so a walk or jog in the park can be simply followed by some toning activity to provide you with a whole body workout, at any time of the day, free of charge.
