Being physically active on a regular basis is a major factor to maintaining and improving your health and well being.
The City and District of St Albans has much to offer to help residents engage in regular sport and physical activity; helping to achieve the recommended daily activity levels of 30 minutes per day for adults and 60 minutes per day for children.
Whether you are looking to get started, looking for a new activity to stay active and develop your fitness, or you are looking to excel in your chosen sport the District has something for everyone; from supported exercise referral sessions, and informal and formal activities in our sport and leisure centres, to walking and cycling in our parks and green spaces, and sports specific activities in any one of the hundreds of sports clubs operating within the District.
The following pages contain information on the services available to residents across the District. Please note many of these services are managed by external agencies.
For more information on any of the above or for general information relating to sport or physical activity please contact the St Albans Sport and Health Development Team on 01727 827667 or saash.sports@leisureconnection.co.uk
