NATS provides air traffic control services to aircraft flying in UK airspace. NATS are currently undertaking a public consultation for the proposed redesign of a region of airspace known as Terminal Control North (TCN). TNC covers a large part of southern and eastern England, an area with a population of 12 million people and home to some of the UK's busiest airports. Changes to airspace for Luton airport are included in this consultation, with some changes to the flight paths over our District.
Full details of the proposals and the consultation document are available on the NATS website www.nats.co.uk/TCNconsultation and at libraries throughout the region. Should you wish to respond to the consultation, the deadline for your response is 22 May 2008. This should be sent directly to NATS.
