Keys should be returned to the Housing Reception on the
Monday that you wish the tenancy to end.
We do not encourage keys to be returned through the post
as they can get lost meaning that the tenancy does not end
when you want it to.
Keys for retirement housing schemes should also be returned
to the Housing Reception and should not be left with the Warden.
You should ensure that all keys are returned to the Council,
even those you have had cut yourself. Once the keys have been
returned to the Council, you will no longer have access to
the property for any reason.
Rent will continue to be charged until the tenancy is ended
following the return of keys to the Council. If keys are received
later than Monday, rent will be charged to the following Monday.
