  Other Useful Information About Electoral Registration

  * Poll Cards

At the time of an election, full details of the election timetable and voting arrangements will be publicised widely. If you qualify to vote in an election, we will send you a poll card telling you the date and time of the election and the address of your polling station . The poll card will be delivered to your home between the 31st March to 9th April 2007.

  * Credit references

Many finance companies, banks and building societies use the electoral register to check the names and addresses of people applying for credit. This is known as a credit reference check. If you are not on the electoral register, it may affect your loan or mortgage application.
