Under the new planning legislation, the Council is required to produce a Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).
This Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) includes information on how and when members of the public can get involved in all aspects of planning, whether it is commenting on individual applications or being part of policy formation.

Having been out for public consultation during April and May this year, the document has been revised and is being submitted to the Secretary of State for examination. There is now a 6-week period for any representations to be made on the SCI, which will be considered at the examination.
Copies of the document are available free of charge from the main Council offices in St.Peters Street, the Town Council office in Harpenden and to inspect at all of the district's libraries.
