Combating climate change and increasing the provision of renewable energy generation are two of the aims of a new planning policy document now available for comment.
The Draft Interim Policy Statement entitled 'Planning & Renewable Energy' includes general information on the types of renewable energy available as well as schemes that the Council itself have implemented. The core of the document is based around three interim policies covering improved energy efficiency, on-site renewable energy generation and guidelines for domestic installations.
The document has now been sent out for consultation across the District and anyone is welcome to make comments on the Draft Statement. Please click Planning & Renewable Energy Draft to see the document.
Copies are also available free of charge from the main Council offices in St.Peters Street, the Town Council office in Harpenden and to inspect at all of the district's libraries.
