St Albans District has a dedicated website to help you find local car-sharers going your way. All you need to do is visit StAlbansTravel to register and start enjoying the benefit of car-sharing straight away. The website works both for people looking for a seat as those looking to offer a ride.

The service is free, intuitive and friendly. In a few minutes you could be asking to share journeys – it could be for a regular lift to work or the occasional trip to an event.

Created for St Albans City and District Council, the service is supported by Liftshare, UK’s largest car-sharing scheme. This means that we have access to their full national database so your journeys don’t have to be restricted to the District!

StAlbansTravel for businesses

Businesses in StAlbans wishing to offer a personalised database to their staff can contact the Council to have a specific space allocated on the StAlbansTravel website. Being part of a group means that your initial search for a journey match will only check for other members of the same groups but you can always widen your search to the national liftshare network if you wish.
