As part of its Green Travel Plan for the District, St Albans District Council have produced a cycling strategy. The strategy presents St Albans Council's plans for increasing the use of bicycles in the District and sets out why this policy is important.

Within the Strategy there is an action plan which includes planning new cycle measures, implementing new cycle measures, providing more cycle parking, improving integration with public transport, promoting cycling, reducing the number of cycle thefts and encouraging company cycle plans.

The strategy will be presented to the Cabinet for approval on 10 July.
