Five Miles to Fabulous - women only cycle ride organised by South Herts CTC

These rides are intended for women who used to cycle when they were younger but have been off the bike for a while and are a bit nervous about getting going again.  The pace is gentle and sociable.  We try and explore our local area - places we have been to in the last year include an old airfield, an Easter cake festival and an embroidery exhibition.  Experienced riders are welcome, but the pace may well be slower than you would usually go, so wrap up warmer than you usually would.

Cycle ride starts from Morrisons supermarket, Hatfield Road.  Meet near the cycle stands.

This is a short ride using mostly traffic-free routes and quieter roads.  There will be a coffee stop, usually at a garden centre, cafe or jumble sale.

Spring Date(s): Staurday 17th March and Saturday 21st April
Time: 9:30am - 12:30pm (approximately)

The St Albans section of the Forty Plus Cycling Club organises sociable mid-week rides. On Tuesdays, the group meets at around 10:00am for coffee at St Albans or Hatfield, from where there are two led rides to a local pub:  the 'A' ride: is around 15 - 20+ miles to lunch averaging about 12 mph; the 'B' Ride is up to 15 miles to lunch averaging about 10 mph; a slower and shorter C ride starts from Welwyn Garden City.

On Thursdays, the Club meets at the Green Man at Sandridge at 11:00am and after coffee cycles no more than 10 miles to a local hostelry for lunch.
