St Albans City & District Council is working in partnership with Countryside and Rights of Way Service at Hertfordshire county Council on a new five year Greenspace Action Plan (GAP) for the Alban Way. The 2019-24 GAP will continue the work of the current plan which comes to an end in March 2019. Furthermore, it will complement the GAP in production for the Welwyn Hatfield section of the Alban Way, which will also cover the period 2019-24.
The briefing document below provides an overview of the GAP production process, and sets out how stakeholders can contribute to shaping the plan. It also sets out the aims and objectives for the Alban Way which will act as a guide for management operations.
Please read the briefing document, and if you wish to submit any feedback on the aims and objectives, please do so by using the contact details below.
The period for feedback will end on Monday 19th November 2018, after which the draft GAP will be formalised and consultation will run further into winter 2018.
