FREE Climate Change Conference
Grow Through Sustainability
A FREE Climate Change Conference
The Fielder Centre, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, Hertfordshire, AL10 9TP on Friday 11 February 2022
Addressing climate change is good business and now is the time to act!
Hear about how decarbonising your business will create opportunities for efficiency, innovation and growth, and learn about the funding that’s available.
By utilising low-carbon technologies, your business can reduce emissions, save major costs, protect the planet and increase staff morale.
At the event, experts will explain how to make your business greener, increase your productivity and, yes, save you costs – all the while working towards net carbon goals to increase your sustainability and competitiveness.
Planet Mark will open the event with a presentation on The Roadmap to Net Zero – Carbon Jargon Busting. Are you confused by the medley of terms that get thrown around in sustainability? What exactly is the difference between net zero, carbon neutral, carbon negative, climate positive and what the heck are the ‘scopes of emission’? In this session, they will cut through the noise and give you a clear and straightforward approach to understanding net zero and all the carbon jargon that goes with it. You’ll be equipped with an understanding of how to get started and make progress on your own sustainability journey and join the tens of thousands of other organisations who have already committed to the Race to Zero.
- Hertfordshire businesses will share stories on the many benefits they’ve experienced by tapping into support and funding to address the climate change crisis.
- Visit the exhibition, including the Planet Mark stand, who toured the country with the Carbon Battle Bus and ending up at COP 26 in Glasgow.
- Nine of the Hertfordshire Local Authorities have worked in partnership to bring you this FREE event which is funded by the Health Protection Board.
- Come along and get your questions answered on how making your business more sustainable can actively help to drive economic growth.
