Alban Arena reopening on Friday 6 May
Our leisure contractor 1Life is pleased to announce that The Alban Arena will reopen on Friday 6 May following essential repair work.
Comedian Nish Kumar will headline the opening night following the Arena's sudden closure on Thursday 16 December to undertake asbestos removal.
James McNulty, 1Life’s Contract Manager for St Albans, said:
We’re over the moon to announce a return date for The Alban Arena. We have a fantastic line-up of events over the coming months as we continue to catch up with Covid cancellations from the last two years with some of the biggest names in sports, comedy and music appearing at the venue in the coming months.
We know how important the Arena is for entertainers and spectators alike and we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure the venue comes back with a bang.
