Get in the festive spirit at St Albans Mayor’s Christmas Carol Concert

Publication date:

Sing traditional carols at St Albans Mayor’s annual Christmas Carol Concert on Sunday 10 December and help raise funds for Rennie Grove Hospice Care.

Everyone is welcome to come along to the outdoor carol concert that is taking place at 4pm in front of the Clock Tower in the High Street, St Albans.

The choir from St Peter’s Church will be performing at the concert, accompanied by St Albans City Band.

Hosting the annual event will be the Mayor of the City and District of St Albans, Councillor Mohammad Iqbal Zia, and his wife Mayoress Farhat Zia.

The Mayor said: “Come along and join in the singing at this community carol concert. It’s sure to get you in the mood for the festive season ahead.

“During the service, there will be a collection for Rennie Grove Hospice Care. We will also take a minute or two to remember loved ones who are unable to be with us due to illness or who have passed away.”

Clergy from around the District will also be in attendance at the carol concert, including Rev Mark Dearnley from St Peter’s Church.

Everyone taking part in the carol concert will be invited afterwards for refreshments at a stall outside The Boot. Proceeds of sale from the refreshments will be donated to Rennie Grove Hospice Care.
