Nominate the stars of our community for Mayor’s Pride Awards 2018

Publication date:

Celebrate the achievements of extraordinary individuals and outstanding organisations that make a positive contribution to the community by putting their names forward in the Mayor’s Pride Awards.

The Mayor’s Pride Awards ensure that these inspiring individuals, hard-working community groups and public-spirited businesses get the recognition they deserve.

The Mayor of the City and District of St Albans, Councillor Mohammad Iqbal Zia, said: “We are looking to find the stars in our community that go the extra mile to help others or work to make St Albans District a better place. Shine the spotlight on these local heroes, community groups and innovative businesses and reward them for their hard work by nominating them for the Mayor’s Pride Awards.”

Short-listed finalists will be unveiled in February 2018 and invited to a celebratory evening with the Mayor in March 2018 when the winners will be revealed. A special Mayor’s Recognition Award will also be presented to a person or group that has made a significant impression on the Mayor during his year of office.

To make a nomination for the awards, simply complete a form online at: www.stalbans.gov.uk/mayorsprideawards (link content no longer available due to retirement of former website). The deadline for nominations is Monday 29 January 2018.
