Private Sector Housing Enforcement

The Council’s Private Sector Housing Enforcement Policy outlines our approach to securing compliance with the law in relation to Private Sector Housing. The policy sets out what owners, landlords, their agents and private sector tenants can expect from St Albans District Council. This policy is reviewed on a regular basis and revisions to legislation will be incorporated into the policy as and when the need arises. 
 

The Council has the authority to issue Civil Penalty Notices for certain Housing Offences.  The Private Sector Housing Civil Penalty Notice Policy sets out what owners, landlords, their agents and private sector tenants can expect from St Albans District Council.
